What a great interview!
You can hear the great affection that Bob has for radio throughout the interview. What vivid memories he has of the personalities he heard as he grew up in Louisville. The memories of Paul Cowley, Ed Bowman, and Jack Sanders are great, especially since no airchecks of these gentlemen have been discovered to date.
And Bob is right--radio sure isn't what it used to be. With voice tracking, you no longer feel as though the on-air personalities are your friends. It could just as easily be an internet stream from another town.

I agree with you, Winn. Bob did the honorable thing and got out, rather than play their game. It's a shame, though. If there was a decent format out there, Bob's still got the voice, don't ya think?
