Man, talk about a small world! Along with Gary Major, Bo Brady was someone I distinctly remember hearing as I listened to WKLO in the 70's. I have been looking for his whereabouts almost as long as I have Bill Bailey. Once I found his whereabouts at WLAP in Lexington, I started e-mailing him. Not only did he work at one time at WSAC in Fort Knox, but he worked with and shared an apartment with one of my former non-radio bosses. Once I found out my boss was a former engineer at SAC, he did the station ID right there in the office! It sounded exactly the same as it was back in the early 70's. Chewed the fat last week via e-mail with Bo and told him what a thrill it was and is to be able to e-mail heroes like him and Johnny Randolph and to be able to write to the Duke, the last two of which I had heard when I started listening to WAKY.

Bo Brady made an impression on me as a kid, I loved his voice. I had no idea that he was Tad Murry on WAMZ in later years. Those guys in the mid to late 70's were all good on WKLO, Brady, Bob Cline, Gary Major, Jackson Smith, we need voices like those today on the air. BTW Max, the next time you talk to Bo Brady by email, ask him to send some airchecks, we need some Bo Brady airchecks on the site.

RJC, I e-mailed Bo (Tad) last night. Let's wait and see if he has any.

Like Travis, I knew Rusty from our days at WXKE. He was always coming up with something humorous. He was a great guy. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. Rusty was one of the few radio newscasters so see inside the Gold Depository at Fort Knox back in the 70's. My condolences to his family. Steve Spero San Diego, Ca
