I heard Johnny Randolph say on WHAS one night, that WAKY, got Bill Baily hired up in Chicago, so that WAKY could hire Bill. ;D What were some of the things, the stations(pranks) did to one another? Thanks.

I don't know of any pranks that may have been pulled by WKLO on WAKY, but I recommend that you listen to 'WAKY Remembered' to hear Johnny Randolph talk about two particular pranks that were pulled on WKLO. One of them is absolutely incredible. You will find the link to 'WAKY Remembered' on the home page of the WAKY tribute site. www.79waky.com/

Yup...this particular prank heard on WAKY Remembered almost sounds illegal. Unethical, anyway! Wonder if WKLO tried to do anything about it

Randolph claims he never told anyone the story for 7 years, which allowed the statute of limitations to run out, so WKLO never took any action.

I first remember hearing about this from Johnny Randolph in 88' or 89' on WHAS radio. While what Randolph did was bad enough, the guy at the transmitter should have been awake, imo...
