I met Rusty in high school in the early 70's, we were high school sweethearts. As often happens I went to college and we drifted apart caught up in the everyday events that are life. We kept in touch now and then over the years, I married, had a child divorced and moved back to Louisville in the late 80's. I heard him on the radio so I called him at the station. Rusty was such a nice person, such a goofball too! Always had some hair brained plan hatching...like the time we rode in a speed boat all day to Cinncy, went to Bogarts and came home in that blasted boat. We were good friends and he would pop in and out of my life like a bubble! He met Myrna and he was so happy and we lost touch. I just now have learned of his passing more than 5 years later. I always thought of him as living happily ever after and I was so glad he found someone to love him as he deserved... he is missed...him and that goofy voice of his that used to annoy me so much!
